If someone in your romantic, family, friendship group or workplace is gaslighting you, here are some top tips on what you can do.

TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS: gaslighting often makes individuals doubt their own reality.

KEEP A DIARY: Document interactions and incidents to maintain clarity and provide evidence if needed.

SET BOUNDARIES: Establish clear boundaries with the gaslighter and assert your own reality when necessary e.g.”I do not imagine facts.”

FOCUS ON SELF-CARE: If the gaslighting is causing distress, consider seeking support from a mental health professional who can offer guidance and coping strategies.

Recognising the signs of gaslighting can be challenging by the very nature of its impact and self-doubt it creates.

Trust yourself. Support is there to help you blow the flame out.
